Everyone has an ideal weight. This is what I call your “magic weight.” I won’t refer you to a chart. I won’t give you a formula. I won’t give you a quick way to figure it out. You must figure it out for yourself over time. I know this may not be what you want to hear, but it will work. You will figure out your “magic weight” by taking the right steps to improve your health. Depending on how far you are right now from your ideal weight determines how long it will take you to know what your “magic weight” is. [...]

Warts are either small white or red bumps that can be raised or flat. They are non-cancerous, painless tumours found on the body. They appear as white clusters, resembling a cauliflower. Warts are caused by a viral infection, specifically by the human papillomavirus (HPV).
Body areas affected
Warts usually appear on the hands, feet and sometimes the face. They often affect just one part of the body like hands or feet or neck without spreading over time to other areas. Genital warts, as the name suggests, appear in the genital area.
What are the causes?
Warts are caused by viral skin infections, specifically caused by the human papillomavirus (HPV). There are approximately 130 strains of HPV. However, Types 1, 2, and 3 cause most of the common warts. Warts are infectious and you can get them from using handtowels or other objects used by an infected person, or by touching the skin of an infected person.
Chances of infection
Though warts are infectious, most are not dangerous. However, if you are sexually active and have genital warts, which may be associated with cervical cancer, you should get yourself treated immediately.
Prevention and solutions
As genital warts are usually spread via sexual contact, they can be prevented by having safe sex. Many doctors also recommend the use of Gardasil, a vaccine aimed at preventing cervical cancers by preventing the spread of genital warts. Commonly used treatments for genital warts include topical treatments like Wartrol or the ones containing salicylic acid, and herbal supplements that kill the HPV. However, a complicating factor in the treatment of warts is that the wart may re-grow after it has been removed.

There are quite a number of causes for your dog to have itchy and dry skin. If you happen to notice, that your dog is doing a lot more scratching then usual, then you should spend a bit of time trying to figure out the origin of the itch. Which of course, is easier said than done. You kind of have to be a bit of a cross between a private detective and a veterinarian to come up with the answer. One of the things you should try not to do, is to irritate the itchy spot yourself. If you really want to find the cause, there are a few approaches.
In the meantime, try and make your dog as comfortable as possible. A bath with cool water will help ease the itch. Oatmeal, baking soda and perhaps epsom salts will help make your dog more comfortable. Avoid hot water, and excessive rubbing or drying of the afflicted areas. Oils can be of assistance with problem of which primrose oil can be very effective. Check with your vet or pet store as to where to buy these items. Dog dry skin can be deal with if you have the right products. We’ve been fortunate with our puppy and haven’t had any real problems. But, if you have dog itchy skin, at least it’s good to know there are a few alternatives to help resolve the problem.

About a year ago, I started getting serious about my health. I started off on a new fitness regiment called P90X, and in the beginning, I was sure how serious I was going to be about the whole thing. That meant doing some pretty intense workouts, and eating properly as well. It was the eating properly thing, that I was waffling a bit about at the beginning. In the end, I decided what the hell. If I’m going to do this thing, I may as well commit to it 100%. And for the most part I did. I followed their health guide, which included taking multivitamins every day. To be honest, that was the easy part. The workouts were pretty intense, and I quickly learned, that eating properly had a serious impact on my performance during the workouts.
There’s nothing that will make the body feel better, than eating right, exercising, and getting a good nights sleep for a couple of weeks. It takes a while for the body to adjust, and it took a while for me to get used to knowing what to eat, but WOW what a difference in how I felt. I had energy, I felt more enthusiastic, and I felt more confident about everything in my life. Fast forward one year, and I’m still following the nutrition guide and doing the exercises. Once you make it a habit, it gets really easy to follow through.

The medicinal properties of tea tree oil including treating nail fungus are myriad. A person could spend an entire day reading and researching the healing power and properties of this oil. Tea tree oil comes from the Melaleuca alternifolia tree belonging to the Myrtle family native to New South Wales, Australia. Since medicine has relied on plants, traditionally, it seems only natural that the oil from this tree would have the properties it has. Research shows that this oil is of the highest quality compared to other naturally occurring substances. Rest assured, tea tree oil is what they say it is, a powerful healer in many ways.
The Melaleuca alternifolia tree is a shrub like tree that grows, indigenous, in Australia but has been developed in plantation use for the ease of harvesting the oil and are now grown in many parts of the world. The tea tree oil is harvested by cutting the leaves and select branches, then collected and put through a distillation process in which steam that passes through the leaves, ruptures the tiny oil cells in the leaves. A vapor of moisture and oil is then condensed to form a liquid that is drained into holding tanks. The tea tree oil is lighter than water, and so floats to the top of the tank. The oil is then skimmed off and collected.
Studies have shown that tea tree oil has properties that are not found anywhere else in nature. Other studies have shown tea tree oil to be 5 times stronger than most household cleaners and disinfectants and does not burn or irritate when applied to cuts and bruises. Thus, tea tree oil becomes a must have for the home first aid kit. However, it should be kept in mind that the best results come from a pharmaceutical grade tea tree oil.
Paronychia is an inflammation or infection on the fingernail or toenail and the tissue around it. The most common cause is usually the bacteria staphylococcus, with the fungi Candida albicans as a secondary intruder. These intruders enter through a break in the skin and usually appear as white patches or a lifting or thickening of one edge of the nail plate.
Tea tree oil has been clinically proven as an anti-bacterial and anti-fungal. Since nail fungus is a common problem with many people, tea tree oil is an excellent, natural solution. When treating nail fungus with tea tree oil, the first thing to do is to clean the affected area with anti-bacterial liquid soap. Let the nail soak in one quart of warm water and 5 to 10 drops of tea tree oil for 15 minutes, pat dry. Then simply use a dropper and apply the tea tree oil directly to the nail and cover with a loose bandage. Another tea tree oil remedy is zetaclear. Repeat this morning and night until the condition clears. Tougher infections may take several months to clear up. Drinking Melaleuca alternifoila leaf tea would also help fight the fungal infection. But do not take the tea tree oil, itself, internally.

The title to this blog post is sort of a loaded question—the answer is, it depends. If you eat a healthy and balanced diet, with lots of variety and ample fruits and vegetables in addition to lean meats and dairy products, and healthy whole grain bread, your body may be getting all of the nutrition that it needs.
However, if you are ever guilty of skipping meals, eating a considerable amount of either fast food takeout or frozen and prepared foods, you likely are not getting the proper nutrients, even while consuming far too many calories per day.
The choice to be made is whether to commit to eating only those foods which will lead to optimal health- largely unprocessed foods, without trans-fats and preservatives. If you believe that you can change your diet immediately to a more natural, whole foods approach, then by all means you should do so. The body processes real and natural foods best, and utilizes the vitamins and minerals from whole foods better than any other source.
Then again, if you feel that would be difficult, or that it would take you some time to re-train your thought patterns until you will be able to eat healthily enough to support all of your body’s systems adequately, then supplementing is a great alternative to ensure your body gets what it needs.

An extended push-up does not work your chest like normal push-ups; it works your core! To perform the extended push-up you lie prostrate on the ground with arms extended above your head. You will raise your body until it’s about a foot off the ground and then lower you body back to the ground. [...]

Eye wrinkles and ordinary facial wrinkles are not the same. Wrinkles around the eyes should not be treated with ordinary everyday anti-wrinkle creams. The skin around the eyes is far too sensitive to be treated with these types of creams. Nearly all anti-wrinkle creams or treatments contain AHAs that are far too strong for around the eyes, which and can cause skin irritations. It is recommended that you stay well clear of these types of creams.

There are some cases that present quite a challenge for the traditional medical community when it comes to musculoskeletal complaints. One of these is sciatica pain that is characterized by a sharp pain that originates in the lower back region and radiates down the leg. It is typically a one-sided phenomenon and travels down the back of the leg on the affected side. If the condition is severe enough, the pain may extend into the heel or big toe.
This type of condition is difficult for the primary care physician to treat because it does not respond as well to drug treatment solutions. The reason for this is due to the fact that the cause of the problem is often due to compression or irritation at the nerve roots of the spine. These roots are located adjacent to the spinal bones and can be areas that are physically altered due to wear and tear or the nerves may be stretched or compressed due to more common stress induced conditions.
