Back Strengthening Exercises

Are you plagued by back pains? If you are, then know that you are not the only one. As a matter of fact, researches have shown that about forty percent of adults, both men and women are suffering from back pains.

A lot of people have tried performing various exercises to help ease their lower back problems. Exercise is a tried and tested solution and has been proven effective in curing many types of problems either mental or physical. Then again, you need to be wary of the type of exercises that you perform because if you are not careful, you might cause yourself more harm than good. Here listed are two great back exercises at home that you can do to help cure your back problems.

a.) Lower Back & Hamstring Stretch – This is a great exercise and is actually very easy to perform. To do this, simply lie down on the ground, lift your left leg up and bend it at about ninety-degree angle and keep your right leg extended and fixed onto the floor. Next, straighten your left leg and grab the back of your left thigh with both hands. By doing this you will feel your lower back and your hamstring stretch. For a more advanced approach, lift both of your legs up and grab the back of each thigh with each hand. This routine will surely loosen up and stretch your lower back. Then again, if this is your first attempt, you need to be very careful and remember to start gently and slowly as you stretch your back muscles.

b.) Partial Curl – This routine will not only benefit your back, but your abs as well. To do this, lie down on the ground with your knees bent and your heels flat on the ground. Raise both of your arms and curl up, hold that position for a couple of seconds then release.

There are also great cardio exercises at home that you can do to ultimately cure your back pains. Some fine examples are jogging and swimming. You can search online to find more of these types of exercises.
