Understanding Allergies

Essentially, symptoms of allergies are said to be a highly sensitive reaction of our body’s immune system to the allergens. Awareness on the most common kinds of allergies is vital to identify the cause and consider an allergy remedy. In general, it has been observed that there are three kinds of major allergies noticed among human beings.
Identifying the allergen is not always easy; however, with correct analysis of our day-to-day lifestyle, we may be in a position to gauge the allergy-causing culprit. The three allergies generally found to create health problems for individuals may be broadly classified as follows • Allergy caused by certain food items • Allergy caused by inhaling certain substances • Allergy caused by contact with certain substances.
Many of us are allergic to food items such as seafood namely prawns, shrimps or lobsters. Some are found to be allergic to nuts that include peanuts, cashew nuts or a few other varieties. Cow’s milk has also been detected to create an allergy for many babies and children and this becomes a major problem for their nutrition. Similarly, eggs may not suit everyone and same is the case with chocolates. So it depends on the autoimmune system of the body that reflects in allergic reaction for some individuals in the form of allergies. One must keep in mind that if an allergy has been noticed due to intake of a particular food item, then the person should avoid consuming that food substance as some allergies may cause serious symptoms and in certain cases even prove to be fatal.
Come spring time, and many of us become prone to hay fever and other allergies in the form of runny nose, watering eyes, respiratory problems etc. This is mainly due to pollen, dust and pollution in the air we inhale. Skin eruptions, itchiness, redness of skin, blisters etc. are usual symptoms notices when we unknowingly coming in touch with certain substances, or insects that are said to cause allergies. Even the fur of pet animals can cause allergies for some people.
Keeping a note of allergy symptoms is essential in the line of treatment. Medical help should be sought for severe symptoms. A variety of preventive treatment allergy remedies are available nowadays for general allergies. However, it is essential that for allergies such as dust, keeping the surroundings clean is crucial. Use of air purifiers and humidifiers might be helpful for those having severe allergies that develop into respiratory problems.
