Sweating is actually an essential bodily function. It is the way that our body temperature is kept under control. In that way, normal sweating is very important to our maintaining good health. However, if you happen to sweat too much, it is not normal. If you are hot, perhaps you are exercising or it is an extremely hot day, you will sweat. Other things that will naturally cause our bodies to sweat include eating spicy foods, drinking coffee or other sweat stimulating foods.

However, your normal state should not give rise to excess armpit sweat. If you do happen to sweat too much, it can cause all sorts of problems. For one you will probably have quite bad body odor, that is hard to control, and you will always be seen with huge wet marks on your clothes. Neither of these is very appealing, and it can lead to social problems and embarrassment. There are things that you can do, however, to help control excessive sweating, including removing anything from your diet that triggers it.

There are other cures for excessive sweating, both natural cures and medical intervention. Of course, it is best if possible to go the path of natural cures, if you can find some that work well. Otherwise, you can get a prescription for strong antiperspirants, or have medical procedures done such as ionotopherasis, Botox injections, or even surgery.
Strong antiperspirants can be helpful in reducing sweating, but they can also sometimes have an adverse affect on people. Some people’s skin can become very irritated and sore.
With Inotopherasis, a low current of electricity is passed over the area. It is not a painful procedure at all, but it too can result in irritated skin.

Having surgery to remove the sweat glands should only be considered when nothing else has helped, and when the excessive sweating is causing problems for the person. Wherever possible, using natural cures and treatment is best.
