What is IPL Hair Removal?
It is a treatment to remove unwanted hair, based on Intense Pulsed Light.

How does it work?
The light is absorbed by the melanin in the hair. When the light converts into heat and it damages the hair that falls and the follicle, which won’t be able to regrow hair.

Is IPL effective?
IPL hair removal treatments are among the most effective in the market. Hair rarely regrow after it is removed and this permanent result can be achieved at least in 90% of the body.

Is IPL hair removal painful?
No, it’s not. You could notice a little hot where is the treated part but it’s not a painful process.

Which are IPL hair removal main advantages?
IPL is more effective than Laser hair removal , as it’s able to remove a larger range of hair and faster than electrolysis wich treats each hair for separate.

How many sessions are needed to see results?
You can notice hair removal since the first session. Up to 30% of hair can be reduced in the first session. After six sessions you’ll have your hair reduced by 90%. This is because large areas of the body can be treated at once.

Does IPL work on all types of hair?
Like all light based hair removal processes, IPL can’t work with blonde, grey or coloured hair. It seems the new machines have improved this issue, but we don’t have first hand news.

On which hair does IPL permanent hair removal perform better?

The IPL hair removal process to it’s not just a matter of hair. It is the combination of hair and skin that determines if the process will be satisfactory or not. Light skin with dark hair is the best combination. IPL hair removal needs melanin, the more melanin is in the hair (darker hair), the better. If a big quantity of melanin is in the skin (tanned skin for example), the skin will absorb part of the heat and the treatment wouldn’t be effective. That’s why you can’t get sun tan before undergoing IPL hair removal.

Which part of the body can be treated with IPL laser hair removal and which not?
IPL is effective gives the best results on the face, in particular upper lip and cheek and on legs armpits and arms. IPL can’t be applied to breast. Also pregnant and breastfeeding patients can’t submit to it.
