Mold allergies are common in humid places where molds are rampant. Just like any other allergies that are coming from airborne allergens, mold allergies are similar on which the airborne mold spores are the allergens.   • Don’t go out unprotected even the rain is over, during a fog, or when the weather is moist. Always wear protections such as coat, bonnet, and thick clothes to prevent mold penetration in the body. It maybe simple things to do, but it can help a lot to prevent future undesired circumstances.
  • You can’t permanently get rid of molds, but there are ways on how to take control of them and cut their population to the minimum. Avoid dampness at the basement by checking and fixing leaky pipes and other cause of groundwater seepage.
  • Buy a dehumidifier and use it at the part of the house where it is most humid and moldy. Pay attention to the condensation coils and collection bucket of the dehumidifier and make sure to schedule a regular cleaning because it can also be a place where mold lives.
  • Installing a central air conditioning system equipped with a high-efficient particulate air (HEPA) filter would be the best option to avoid getting mold allergy at home.
