With America’s recent and seemingly new found knowledge and concern for the environment as well as health/nutrtion, most companies are being forced to produce all natural and/or organic products. This includes the entire consumer industry and is not limited to one specific area as this new environmental concern is widespread. Americans may now purchase “green” products in areas of the market spectrum ranging from recycled motor oil to organic beauty products. It is this latest area however that has seen the most recent upsurge of “green” product releases and organic beauty and body care products can be seen popping up nationwide from some major and numerous little known brands.
One such previously unrecognized company is Alchemilla. This company produces bath and shower products, body and massage oils, body lotions, as well as hand and nail care creams. All their products are made from organic flowers and herbs that are grown by Alchemilla in Oregon. Another such company producing a full line of organic skin care products for both men and women ranging from toothpaste to shaving gel and cosmetics is Miessence. Miessence has become part of this billion dollar industry becoming ever more popular with the growing awareness of nutrition, health, organics, and the affects we all have on our environment.
There are also a plethora of companies that manufacture organic cosmetics alone. Sephora produces a full line of such cosmetics including foundations, mascara, liners, blushes, and lipsticks. Launching a line of hair oral care products has moved this particular company to the front lines of this industry and new items are being added to their collection annually.
With the organic shampoo and conditioner skin care product industry increasing in revenue every year; it is certain to become a national phenom in the next decade. There are, as with any industry, those companies that would deceive trusting consumers. It is important when deciding what organic skin and beauty care products are best for the individual to read any warning labels that may be attached and to read the labeled ingredients to ensure that the products are indeed organic and natural before purchase.
The consumer wanting to make the switch to natural rather than formulated products should first educate themselves in the area and then research companies that produce the desired products. It may be that all natural products are better for the person as well as the environment and new breakthroughs are imminent. This is a growing industry as consumers are being urged to make the change and new companies are being born and new products developed every day.
